My name is Paul Larson and this will be my third year teaching in the Mankato Public School District and second as a fifth grade teacher at Hoover. Originally, I am from Mapleton, Minnesota, where I graduated from Maple River High School in 2007. In 2011, I graduated from Saint John's University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Mathematics emphasis.
My journey to 5th grade at Hoover has traveled through a few other wonderful years of experience. Last year I was a part of the 4th grade team. Before coming to Hoover I taught for one year in the Blue Earth Area School District as a Title I and Response to Intervention teacher. Also, I taught for two years in the LeSueur-Henderson School District as a 5th grade teacher at the Hilltop STEM School.
In my free time, I enjoy being a learner and a reader. I also enjoy being active outside and spending time with my family and friends. Some of my hobbies are playing, coaching, and watching sports, fishing, snowboarding and wakeboarding.
I cannot wait to learn more about you at Hoover!
